What is cardiac coherence?

Cardiac coherence is a stress management method based on breathing. It helps regulate variations in heart rate by synchronizing breathing with the heart. Practiced regularly, it helps reduce anxiety, improve concentration and strengthen general well-being.

How does cardiac coherence work?

When we are stressed or anxious, our heart rate becomes irregular. On the other hand, slow and regular breathing promotes harmonious heart variability, called cardiac coherence. This synchronization positively influences the autonomic nervous system, which controls our stress and relaxation reactions.

The method is based on a simple exercise:

  • Inhale for 5 seconds.

  • Exhale for 5 seconds.
This, for 5 minutes, three times a day, what is called the 365 rule.

The benefits of cardiac coherence
Regular practice of cardiac coherence can:

  • Reduce stress and anxiety levels.

  • Improve sleep quality.

  • Strengthen immunity.

  • Increase concentration ability and mental clarity.

  • Prevent cardiovascular diseases.

Cardiac coherence is a simple technique, accessible to all, that you can easily integrate into your daily life to find calm and serenity.
